I started on Crystal Reports in 2001. Twenty-five years, five platform modernisations (FMCG, home building, auto parts, steel), and the latest one moved an Azure stack to Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran and ThoughtSpot in under twelve months. I still read the SQL. I also sit in the board meeting, and I can tell you which one is harder. Give me six months and I'll build you a data platform; twelve, a team; thirty-six, a data-driven culture. Ask me about the floor, not the ceiling.
